I Prefer the Dusk Song Game
The new song is out! I Prefer the Dusk is available on all streaming platforms. Listen here: https://songwhip.com/max-oakland/i-prefer-the-dusk
You can also purchase it here as the soundtrack for this game if you want to support me as an artist & videogame maker
I'm releasing a new song on August 23rd and I want to do a little fun promotion thing with it.
So: Play this game to reveal the title and cover art, which are still secret. The first person to send me a screenshot of the cover art will get a shoutout on my social media!
If you win the level, you can even hear the full song a day early.
Note: this game doesn't work on my phone because it doesn't fit on the screen. It might work on your phone. This is the first time I've used GameMaker's HTML export and I didn't know how to set it up right. Learning experience!

Thats so cool, the way u made a game while promoting your song. Ingenious! Also great song as well.
Thank you! The most exciting part for me is you liking the song. I’ve actually been thinking about what I’m going to do for my next song as a game promo and I’m thinking a horizontal shooter
Nice song Max! Really love the album cover and that font! Always a fan of brick breaker games too haha 👌
Thank you! I'm really glad you like the cover art and the font. I feel really proud of it :D
This is a really cool way of promoting a song!
