Wink Devlog 04.02.24
Hey all, I've been working hard on Wink & the Broken Robot and I have some updates to share with you. For more detailed reports on all the little (and big) bugs I've been fixing, you can view the development progress documentation here
1. Computer Minigame
I've been working hard on the NeoN OS (computer) mini-game BreakIt. I fixed the corner-block bug and improved the game feel. Now, the ball speeds up as you play longer, which adds a fun element of challenge. And I also added bonus lives when you get certain multiples of 100. I think of this game as kind of a Game and Watch-style game because of the grid-based movement, so it's fitting
2. Some Misc improvements:
• All worlds have their special prize collection implemented, so you can view and read about the prize items you've collected using the computers found on the map screen
• Coins & shop work. You can collect up to 999 coins and use items in the pause menu on the map
• Fixed up the Pizza Rat museum and implemented some secrets
• Fixed Screen shake bug
You can now purchase items at BuyBuyBuy and use them on the map. Canned peaches are health, cherries are double shot, triangle is invincibility, and fresh peaches are supershot
3. Final World
Been making a ton of progress on the final world of the game. The last level is a challenging Winktroidvania with some puzzle elements and it brings back some of the biggest challenges from earlier levels, with some twists. The goal is to challenge what you learned before and really show you how good you've gotten at the game

New enemy called a Plastic Bag Jellyfish
Challenging new enemy that shoots at you and can't be shot, only squashed
Some layering & depth effects for fun and challenge
Rainy level that gets slippery and clouds shoot lightning
Beautiful sun-dappled forest filled with challenging enemies
These snails leave a sticky trail that prevent Wink from jumping

Grew up with 3.1 (many years after it was outdated haha) so that's very much my kinda nostalgia
